She belongs to one of my best friends who is in the process of moving so we are puppy sitting for a while. Not sure how long we will have her but we are enjoying her while she is here.

Ready for the weekend?

Yes that's right it's Monday and I am looking forward to the weekend already. We spent this weekend doing some major Spring cleaning and still have alot to do.

Gav got another big boy bed this weekend, he went from a toddler bed to a twin size bed. He is loving all the space and for 2 nights now he has not ended up in our bed some time in the middle of the night. Mom is sure loving that.

In the process of switching beds Gav and Ry swapped toy boxes. Ry had a HUGE toy box that we put in Gav's room cause Ry is getting to the age where he isn't into toys as much and Gav was busting the seams of his smaller toy box so it worked out well.

Then of course as you start one project it leads to another and another so we started cleaning out the garage (which basically just means sticking everything in the attic) Overall a very productive weekend but boy an I ready to relax. Hoping next weekend is laid back. :)

You Data

I found something that I think you will like. The company's name is YouData (youdata.com). They are trying to convince consumers like us that we should be the ones controlling our own data and selling our own attention, not third parties like broadcasters, newspapers, and spammers. By creating a MeFile at YouData.com, I now control what ads I see and when I see them. Best part - I am selling my attention directly to interested advertisers, for real money. That's right, I get paid for giving them my attention. I can use the funds to buy music and video online, donate to charities, give to my favorite blogs and websites, or keep the change myself and do whatever I want with it.
It's real. They pay. You should check it out.
Click this link to sign up. My MeFile ID, couponminny, in the "Referral Code" will tell them I sent you.

Hope you enjoy this as much as I do. You don't earn a ton of money but a few dollar here and there goes a long way. Enjoy!

Do something environmentally friendly today, it can be anything from picking up some trash you see on the ground to planting a tree but if everybody does something, together we can make a big difference. I wouldn't consider myself a tree hugger, just a wannabe (LOL) but I have become a LOT more conscious and environmentally friendly over the past 3 years. I currently make my own laundry detergent and cleaners, I made homemade babyfood when Gav was eating it, & as previously stated I am considering growing my own veggies. Would love to hear what you all do to be more "Green"

Gardening

If you know me at all you probably know I am so not an outdoors person. Don't get me wrong I don't hate being outside, I actually like being outside if the weather is right, I just don't like to be outside in extreme temps. Being from Southern Louisiana this usually means I don't even attemp to go outside during the summer. However, I've been contemplating starting a garden.

Gardening takes a lot of work I am well aware of that but think of all the money one could save by simply growing their own fruits and vegetables. I haven't decided for sure if I willl take that leap but dh seems slightly interested as well so we will talk about it some more before making that decision.

If you are interested in starting your own garden be sure to visit $5 Dinners http://www.5dollardinners.com/2009/04/gardening-project-50-home-depot-gc-giveaway.html for your chance to win a $50 gift card to Home Depot.
